Simon Owen has been recruiting since 1998 primarily within the Building Services, Facilities Management and Energy Management / Sustainability sectors. He started his career as a trainee for a nationwide recruitment agency progressing to Principal Consultant before taking on a training role in which he had responsibility for staff in five offices. He is exceptionally well known in his field and joined Calibre in 2011 after seven years as a hands on Director for a local competitor. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals and an active member of the local CIBSE and the CIBSE Patrons. When not spending time with his wife and daughter, he is most happy on two wheels whether that is his push bike or his bright red Ninja ZX6R.

Matthew Finlay is a Director of Calibre Search and after starting his career in sales has worked in the recruitment industry since 2005. He heads up the Marketing Division and covers both agency and client side appointments throughout the North. When he’s not at work he likes to spend some time cooking, more time eating and injury-permitting trying to keep fit.

Richard Robinson is the Director of the Built and Natural Environment Consultancy Division and has extensive experience in this sector. Initially from a recruitment advertising background, he began his recruitment consultancy career in 2000 by establishing a consulting engineering division for a corporate recruitment agency in Leeds. He joined Calibre Search in 2007 to diversify the business into a wider range of industry sectors. He has specialist multi-disciplinary knowledge in Building Engineering, Transportation, Highways, Water and Rail Divisions and an extensive network of contacts.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals and a member of the Yorkshire Branch of the Forum for the Built Environment. He is an avid supporter of Hull City Football Club, and would be happy to talk about them to anyone who will listen!
