An international multi-disciplinary is looking for a Transport Planner to join their Southern team that's spread across London and Bristol. This team has been established for over 30 years and works across a wide variety of Public and Private Sectors.
Working with large residential developers, commercial clients, local authorities and many more you would be involved in a wide variety of development planning schemes including Travel Plans, Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and also get the opportunity to be involved in urban masterplanning and active travel planning with local authorities in Greater London and across the South West.
This team can offer fantastic flexibility, with only once a week required in the office, they can offer you fantastic career development opportunities with being established over 30 years they have a strong structure that allows you to progress from Transport Planner to Senior, Principal and beyond with regular appraisals and promotion opportunities.
Transport Planner Requirements- Knowledge of transport assessment and travel plan methodologies
- Experience of analysing, collating and interpreting data
- Knowledge of highway design principles relevant to site access design
- An ability to use AutoCAD and GIS software
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience using software packages such as TRICS, Junctions 9 or 10 and LinSIG
- Previous UK work experience
- An understanding of the UK planning process and how your work fits into that
- Drive to succeed and a willingness to get involved
- Excellent communication skills, confidence to liaise with team members and clients
- Methodical approach to problem solving and attention to detail
- Ability to produce clear, precise and coherent analysis, reports and drawings
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a skilled multi-disciplinary team
