Description

A unique Geo-Environmental Consultant opportunity has arisen in the Bristol area for one of the UK's most respected medium sized multi-disciplinary consultancies. You will have the chance to help technically deliver both Geo-Environmental and Geotechnical projects from inception to completion.

I am looking to speak with a Geo-Environmental Consultant, Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist keen to break into a consultancy and gain exposure within the design, technical reporting, specifications and project management for both contaminated land and geotechnical projects.

They will look at developing you into a Geo-Environmental Consultant that can competently deliver a project from tender/phase I stage through to remediation & validation stages.

As a Geo-Environmental Consultant, the key areas of development you will learn surround, ground investigation design and management, land quality and site characterisation assessment, Risk assessment (human health, controlled waters, ground gas), Development of remediation appraisals and strategies, Remediation and earthworks verification.

You will also gain experience in Geotechnical interpretation, preliminary and detailed design for residential and commercial developments.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Degree qualified to master's Level (or equivalent) in Environmental Science, Engineering Geology or another relevant subject.
  • Proven experience supervising and managing Geo-Environmental and/or Geotechnical ground investigations.
  • Experience within technical reporting, interpretive or remedial methods is beneficial but not essential as the client are looking at developing this area for the right candidate.
  • Full UK diving licence.
