Job Ref #21337We are currently recruiting for a M&E Asset Engineer for a role in Manchester City Centre with a UK wide firm of M&E engineers who are consultancy across Property Services, Specialist Sectors and Building Services Design. You will be working on a variety of refurbishment projects in the Commercial, Education and Healthcare sectors where the integrity of the facilities and services in these landlord owned properties is paramount to the happiness and comfort of its tenants. A part of the role will be to manage and run Asset Surveying Contracts and be hands on where necessary and secondly, you will be working in the office, crunching numbers, proposing design and cost or energy savings to clients.
Property Service Engineers provide landlords, property agents, and building managers with advice, guidance, and expertise to make the most of their building; equipping them with the technical know-how to best use the engineering systems and services or comply with legislation. Whether it's a Change (plant renewal/replacement/refurbishment), Care (surveys/technical advice) or Carbon (building energy compliance) project, you will provide both an overview of design strategies as well as guidance for managing their system operations. You will be driven by the importance of being able to use a space as effectively and efficiently as possible.
You will need to have a solid background of running Asset Surveying Contracts, providing technical consultancy and due diligence, have experience of being client facing and running a team. You will need the following:
- Chartered status or equivalent experience.
- Strong technical knowledge in a primary engineering discipline and relevant UK and applicable EU regulations, design guides, etc.
- Good understanding of a secondary engineering discipline.
- Excellent contractual and commercial knowledge.
- Ability to manage multiple projects assessing technical and commercial risksYou will be working for an experienced manager within an organisation with a fantastic reputation.
