We are looking for an experienced Associate Electrical Engineer - Building Services. This role offers you the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the business, you will be involved in the management of a team of engineers, organising staff resources, planning delivery of projects and producing quotations for Electrical Engineering works as part of your every day role. This opportunity, as an Associate Electrical Engineer - Building Services, will be working as part of a local team of Building Design engineering professionals delivering engineering design solutions to clients across the UK from their Stockport base. The Building Design practice work on projects across all of their focus markets, including Healthcare, Commercial, Public Sector and Education.
The opportunity will require candidates to be client-facing as well as being involved in the day to day design and management of projects. The focus is developing staff to realise their full potential, with development plans geared to individual needs and abilities. This role will allow development of existing technical skills as well as providing potential to expand their knowledge, particularly relating to the BIM Sector whilst enhancing software capability with the use of add ons including MagiCAD and more.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:- Deliver sustainable design solutions to the required standards
- Manage time on projects to suit deadlines
- Allocate resource appropriately and co-ordinate tasks so all deadlines are met
- Represent well at external client meetings
- Provide electrical design expertise across the office
The key deliverables over the first 12-24 months for this role will be:
- Maintain excellent levels of client service
- Ensure QA procedures are implemented
- Make a meaningful contribution to our technical excellence' strategy
- Mentor and develop junior members of the team
Requirements
- To be a qualified Incorporated or Chartered Engineer having a strong record in your career
- Degree qualified, or an HNC in an applicable discipline with technical expertise covered by experience
- To understand financial arrangements for projects including fee forecasting, fee preparation, and allocation
- Be accustomed to providing guidance to graduates and technicians, demonstrating your in-depth understanding of design engineering
- Have a proven ability to manage several projects at any one time
- Be forward thinking and passionate about digital design innovation
- Demonstrate compliance in tools such as Amtech, Dialux, MagiCad, Revit
- Ideally you will have experience across different sectors
