Description

An excellent Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer opportunity has come available in central London to work for growing Geotechnical & Geo-Environmental consultancy on a range of high end, complex contaminated land / remediation schemes in and around London including interesting redevelopments of gasworks and landfills.

As a Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer will be sat directly under the Director of Geo-Environmental helping with quality assurance, project management/delivery as well as mentoring, managing and continuing to help build the Geo-Environmental team in London.

Your role as a Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer will be an office-based position (Hybrid working), delivering phase's 1-5 contaminated land risk assessment as well as design and implementation of remedial schemes.

Review reports e.g. Phase I PRAs, Phase II GQRAs, ground investigation specifications, remediation strategies, verification reports, ES chapters and scoping reports, waste assessments and MMPs. DQRA is beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.

Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer Specification

  • Degree/MSc in environmental science or geochemistry.
  • At least 10 years contaminated land & remediation experience within a Geo-Environmental or remediation Consultancy
  • Excellent technical reporting experience on Phase 1, phase 2, risk assessments and remedial methods.
  • Experience project managing and client liaison.
  • Management experience of junior engineers/consultants.
