Building Surveyor - Project Management

Calibre Search are working closely with a growing and ambitious Modern Building Consultancy based in Manchester who are eager to bring in a Project focused Building Surveyor to join them.

Instructed from their Manchester lead Director, they now require a sharp and commercially minded Building Surveyor who can offer services in Project Management/Design Specification whilist being able to offer general building surveying services when required.

You will be working closely with the growing building consultancy department offering full surveying and project management services on a range of various high profile commercial, retail and residential projects including new builds, refurbs and fit outs offering a great blend of expeirence to help complete your APC (all APC support is in-house as they offer a personalised and specialist training programme as part of their many company values).

Very much a role you can make your own with this ambitious and modern style consultancy. You will have a multitude of progression routes to choose from as you shape and grow your career with them.

Duties:

• Relevant degree qualified (Surveying/Construction Management)
• Proven track record as a Project Manager (ideally within a consultancy/client-side environment)
• Knowledge and experience working through JCT/Traditional contracts
• Knowledge and experience working through RIBA Stages
• Responsible for managing and delivering your own projects on time and within budget
• Pre and post contract experience
• Dealing with Tenders, negotiating with contractors, procurement knowledge etc
• Comfortable in Client facing role and developing Client relationships
• Preparing scheme designs with budget costs plans and project programmes
• Preparing tenders and contract documentation
• Managing project costs and reporting regularly to clients
• Advising clients on their duties under CDM Regulations
• Undertaking building surveys and schedule of conditions
• Dilapidation assessments and negotiations
