Flood Risk Engineer - Rail (Outside IR35)
My Client are one of Europe's leading specialists in Environmental Engineering and Environmental Management and have a list of clients including the Environment Agency, The European Commission and Defra. Due to a further increase in workload, their North Leeds office are looking to employ talented and driven Civil and Flood Risk Engineers to work in their specialist Rail Team
For this position you will need to have experience of working within the Rail Sector and should be able to demonstrate experience of project and/or task management, achieving programme, controlling budgets and delivering work to the required quality standards.
You will be expected to form part of a busy team delivering and reviewing a range of engineering and environmental improvement projects including bridge scour assessment and protection, drainage, earthworks, structural and culvert rehabilitation. You will mentor and supervise junior staff; complete site works and input to bid and tender preparation. The successful candidate will work closely with Engineers and other technical staff from across their other offices, working directly with Network Rail staff and its Framework Contractors.
You will also provide technical support to civil/structural engineering problems within the rail environment and knowledge of relevant design codes, rail standards and software packages are essential as you will be required to generate, check and review engineering calculations within a wide variety of projects.
They are looking for candidates with sound technical knowledge and the ability to manage design projects and work pro-actively with clients and across the business. This role will report to an existing Design Team Leader and will contribute to the delivery of a range of engineering and environmental improvement projects.
This is an ongoing contract position however there will be the option for a permanent staff role should you prefer
