Role: Senior / Principal Geotechnical Engineer
Salary: £35K+
Location: Manchester / Stockport

I am keen to speak with an experienced Geotechnical Engineer looking for that next step into managing and developing a team. You will have the chance to lead Geotechnical projects from tender stage through to completion whilst mentoring junior members of staff on a Geotechnical basis.

It is expected that you are technically strong within the design/organisation of Geotechnical ground investigations, able to check logs, schedule testing, writing up detailed interpretive reports, advising clients and structural engineers on foundations, retaining walls etc. Knowledge of housebuilding, NHBC standards, earthworks and piling is beneficial.

*BSc and ideally MSc qualified in the relevant field.
*Chartered or approaching with a relevant engineering body.
*Have the ability to write geotechnical interpretive reports without any supervision.
*Good experience of the co-ordination of Geotechnical projects and team management.
*Good communication skills dealing with clients, project partners, supply chain, elected representatives and the public.
