Manchester City Centre
Salary: £35,000 to £45,000
You will be working for a leading independent consultant in the Building Services sector who have recently opened a second office in the heart of Manchester City Centre and are looking to recruit an Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. The company have recently recruited an Electrically Biased Director for the Manchester office and have also confirmed their tenancy in new office space in the Manchester Northern Quarter. The office is in a very trendy part of town with some excellent amenities close by, plenty of construction projects and set to become a vibrant and busy area of the city centre. They are a very proactive company and are investing considerable time and significant expertise into Manchester and have already secured a couple of senior figures in both disciplines.
The successful candidate for this role with be working at a senior level currently. You will be expected to run projects and your support network will be in Manchester and from the 20+ team in their North East Office in Yorkshire. They have a strong brand in the Building Services sector in the North East already, their reputation organically developed into the Manchester market and therefore they already have excellent relationships with a number of large clients in the North West. They have already secured plenty of smaller works and a large framework agreement is close to completion.
We are looking for someone who has excellent experience of Building Services design. You will be joining a company who are on a journey, therefore it is important that you are keen to share their vision and are also enthusiastic about driving the business forward with the understanding of where the business is to date. Knowledge of Autocad, Hevacomp, IES, TAS and Revit is essential. It is not essential, but it is preferred that you have reached Chartered status with CIBSE or another recognised engineering board. Ideally you will be degree qualified, however we are accepting applications from ONC/HNC qualified engineers also.
