Senior Geotechnical Engineer

I’m currently working with a well-established engineering firm in Atlanta that is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, PE to help with technical delivery, market growth and team development across Georgia and SE coast.

This position requires a sell/do attitude, joining the senior leadership in strategic growth whilst delivering a range of geotechnical projects across development, infrastructure and transportation.

Senior Geotechnical Engineer, PE - Key Responsibilities

• Project management from proposal stage through final delivery
• Coordination of site investigations and field activities
• Classification and interpretation of laboratory and field data
• Preparation of geotechnical engineering reports
• Design and analysis (not limited too): Shallow and deep foundations, Bearing capacity and settlement, Earth retaining systems and anchors, Slopes and earthworks
• Business development, client account management, contract negotiation
• Recruitment and steering division growth

Senior Geotechnical Engineer, PE - Qualifications / Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geological, or Mining Engineering, or Geology / Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Geology is a plus
• Professional Engineer (PE) license(s)
• 10+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering
• Strong technical writing and reporting experience
• Proven ability to design and analyze foundation systems and slopes
• Operational experience with client account management
