Senior Building Surveyor
I'm working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy that's expanding its Birmingham team and on the lookout for an experienced and ambitious Senior Building Surveyor to join them. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a high-performing team, support prestigious clients with large national property portfolios, and step into a clear progression path to more senior leadership roles.
You'll be joining a growing team of surveyors working across key client accounts, delivering a broad range of professional and project-based Building Surveying services. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting junior team members, managing client relationships, and overseeing multiple workstreams - all while having the opportunity to shape your own career development.
The Role
- Leading on technical surveys, reports, and specifications
- Producing tender documentation and administering JCT contracts
- Supporting clients with dilapidations, party wall matters, defect analysis, and feasibility studies
- Contributing to business development and maintaining key client relationships
- Helping to mentor junior surveyors and supporting project finance control
- Liaising closely with internal teams, external consultants, and contractors
About You
- MRICS qualified (or working towards it)
A solid background in commercial, retail, or education sectors - Strong communication skills with the confidence to lead client interactions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD, REVIT, and NBS Chorus desirable
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required
