Are you a Senior Transport Planner looking to join a respected consultancy where your skills, ideas, and development truly matter? We're working with a leading, independent and employee-owned consultancy to find a confident and experienced Senior Transport Planner to join their well-established London team.
You'll be working on some of the most exciting and high-profile development projects across London and the South - shaping transport strategies that support sustainable growth, better access, and successful planning outcomes.
🚦 The Role
As a Senior Transport Planner, you'll take the lead on delivering a broad range of transport planning services, providing trusted advice to clients and contributing to high-quality planning submissions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing Transport Assessments, Statements, Travel Plans and ES transport chapters
- Leading projects and coordinating with internal teams
- Representing the consultancy at meetings with clients, planners, architects, and contractors
- Supporting the design of access strategies and transport solutions across all modes
- Managing resources effectively and mentoring junior team members
- Maintaining quality and consistency across deliverables, in line with company QMS
- Contributing to the commercial success of your projects
👤 About You
You'll be a transport planning professional with:
- A relevant degree (or equivalent) and working towards a professional qualification
- Significant experience in a transport planning consultancy or similar environment
- Strong communication and client-facing skills - able to lead meetings and advise confidently
- Good understanding of design standards and experience using AutoCAD (or equivalent)
- Experience with junction modelling software such as Junctions 10 and LinSig
- Commercial awareness, and an understanding of project budgets and delivery timelines
- A positive, proactive mindset - someone who values collaboration, kindness, and quality
