We're working with a respected, independent civil and structural engineering consultancy in Belfast who are actively looking to appoint a Senior Civil Engineer - Water to join their growing water sector team.

With a strong, secured pipeline of water and wastewater infrastructure work across Northern Ireland, the Republic, and GB, this is a fantastic opportunity for a civil engineer with experience in water-related projects-someone who wants to play a key role in both project delivery and future growth. Think pipelines, treatment plants, pumping stations-these are the types of projects you'll be hands-on with.

About the role:
This is a key technical position within the business of Senior Civil Engineer - Water, offering a blend of hands-on design work and leadership. You'll lead on delivering detailed civil engineering design across clean water and wastewater infrastructure projects, while collaborating closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading the engineering design and technical output on key water sector projects
• Producing design documentation, calculations, drawings, and specifications
• Acting as a technical point of contact for clients and project stakeholders
• Supporting junior engineers and contributing to mentoring and knowledge sharing
• Ensuring delivery aligns with internal systems and H&S protocols
• Driving design quality and innovation across your team's output

What they're looking for:

• BEng (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Chartered or working towards Chartership (ICE/Engineers Ireland)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a civil engineering consultancy
• Hands-on experience with water or wastewater infrastructure projects
• Competent using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and ideally Revit
• Strong communicator with a collaborative, solution-focused mindset
• Someone who can work autonomously while being a team player
