The Opportunity

As a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer, you will:

  • Lead the electrical design on a wide range of building services projects from concept to completion, with a focus on detailed design and coordination across the RIBA stages.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to innovative solutions in low-energy and sustainable design.
  • Mentor junior engineers, manage small design teams, and play an active client-facing role.
  • Champion sustainable outcomes, ensuring designs align with current legislation, environmental targets, and client needs.
  • Be part of a busy, forward-thinking consultancy where shared ownership means everyone has a stake in the business and its success.
  • Support the continued development of young talent as part of a company-wide commitment to growth and learning.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Qualifications: HNC or degree in Building Services, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience:
    • Strong track record at Senior or Principal level within a consultancy environment.
    • Proven ability to deliver electrical design projects in sectors such as education, residential, or public buildings.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Competence in design tools including AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech/Electrical OM, and Dialux/Relux.
    • Clear understanding of UK building regulations, design standards, and sustainable design principles.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Confident communicator with excellent team leadership and client engagement abilities.
    • Committed to knowledge-sharing and developing others.
