The Role
An established and expanding MEP design consultancy is looking for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join its Birmingham office. This is a key opportunity to work on a wide range of high-quality new build projects, with real scope for career development.
You'll join a close-knit, growing team and sit between a trainee and a senior engineer-ideal for someone who's confident in their technical abilities and ready to start leading smaller projects or packages with autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver electrical building services systems to RIBA Stage 4a
Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, schedules and technical reports
Attend and contribute to internal and external project/design meetings
Conduct occasional site visits and support testing and commissioning
Mentor and guide junior staff where appropriate
Stay updated with current standards, regulations and design software
Requirements
HNC/HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (degree preferred)
Strong working knowledge of Amtech, Dialux/Relux, and AutoCAD (Revit is a bonus)
A solid understanding of UK Building Regulations and design standards
Experience in project delivery and working with multidisciplinary teams
Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills
