The Role

An established and expanding MEP design consultancy is looking for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join its Birmingham office. This is a key opportunity to work on a wide range of high-quality new build projects, with real scope for career development.

You'll join a close-knit, growing team and sit between a trainee and a senior engineer-ideal for someone who's confident in their technical abilities and ready to start leading smaller projects or packages with autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver electrical building services systems to RIBA Stage 4a

  • Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, schedules and technical reports

  • Attend and contribute to internal and external project/design meetings

  • Conduct occasional site visits and support testing and commissioning

  • Mentor and guide junior staff where appropriate

  • Stay updated with current standards, regulations and design software

Requirements

  • HNC/HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (degree preferred)

  • Strong working knowledge of Amtech, Dialux/Relux, and AutoCAD (Revit is a bonus)

  • A solid understanding of UK Building Regulations and design standards

  • Experience in project delivery and working with multidisciplinary teams

  • Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills
