Senior Geotechnical Engineer (Temporary Works)
I'm working with one of the UK's leading temporary works and geotechnical design consultancies, working across all built environment sectors. Looking to add a Senior Geotechnical Engineer (Temporary Works) to come in and help take this office to new heights with technical excellence and effective decision making. This position offers genuine career progression and the opportunity to work on diverse, challenging projects across the UK. What You'll Be Doing as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer (Temporary Works)
In this role, you'll take on semi-autonomous responsibility for project delivery while having the opportunity to mentor junior team members. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Civil, structural, and geotechnical design tasks with minimal supervision
- Project management and technical delivery within budget and timeline constraints
- Design development from concept through to detailed implementation
- Team leadership and mentoring of junior engineers and technicians
- Client liaison and stakeholder management
- Risk assessment and health & safety compliance (CDM 2015)
Senior Geotechnical Engineer (Temporary Works) Requirements:
- BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering (or structural/geotechnical engineering)
- CEng MICE or MIStructE (or actively working towards within 12 months)
- 5+ years post-graduate experience in relevant engineering disciplines
- CITB Construction Skills Certification Scheme Card
- Full UK driving licence (site visits required)
Desirable Qualifications:
- MEng (Hons) or MSc in engineering
- Dual CEng registration (MICE & MIStructE)
- AutoCAD/Tekla experience
- H&S Training (IOSH/NEBOSH)
