We are currently partnered with an International Specialist Consultancy, Engineering, and Advisory firm, with offices across the UK, UAE, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Singapore, as they look to add a Chartered Fire Engineer to their division in London.
Their areas of expertise are represented in five core verticals: Planning, Design & Engineering, Masterplanning & Infrastructure, Asset Management and Transaction Support.

Job Description:
Due to the continuing success and growth of our team in the UK, this fantastic opportunity has opened up at our award-winning specialist consultancy, engineering and advisory firm.
The consultancy is looking for a Chartered Fire Engineer to support the Building Safety & Advisory division and work alongside their other specialist disciplines. The role will be based in London, UK, supporting the successful delivery of UK and international projects, working with project team throughout all project phases and covering all aspects of Fire Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage, lead and undertake the delivery of projects and resolve project issues in a client facing role.
- Inspection, design and plan review for all fire protection systems and life safety as per relevant fire codes.
- Preparing and implementing fire and life safety strategy report and fire and life safety designs.
- Assist the divisions senior leadership, including overseeing and reviewing the work of junior employees, assisting them in dealing with complex situations where required.
- Demonstrate expertise in discipline with a proven track record of success.
- Delivery of consultancy projects to high levels of quality within projects deadlines.
- Assist Fire & Life Safety Director in commercial management of projects and their delivery.
- Protect the company's liability exposure across projects and manage technical risk.
- Maintain an up to date understanding and strong knowledge of the regulatory requirements/guidance in regard to fire safety, fire design and its implementation.
- Support development of procedures to improve division function and efficiency.
- Supporting training and development of junior employees with mentoring as required.
- Assist in preparing proposals when required.
- Maintain high level of customer satisfaction.
- Actively pursue continued professional development through completion of training modules.
- Engaging in the implementation and maintenance of the IMS and its processes and in achieving expected outputs.
- Conducting all their activities in quality, healthy and safe manner and reporting any observed problems/risks to the concerned head or personnel.
Qualification /Experience:
- Minimum Bachelors Degree in Fire Engineering or equivalent.
- Required minimum experience: 4-8 years.
- Preferable:
- MSc Degree level with relevant academic or with post academic professional qualifications to carry out the role
- Fire modelling such as Pyrosim/FDS or equivalent
- Evacuation modelling
