Hire Chiller Engineer - Midlands
We're working with a highly respected specialist hire company that is expanding its engineering team with the addition of an experienced Chiller Engineer.
Our client operates nationwide, providing temporary cooling solutions to commercial, industrial, public, and private sector clients. With strong growth plans and a focus on innovation, they're looking for a technically skilled and motivated engineer to join their team and support the delivery of high-quality temporary cooling systems across the UK.

The Role:

You will join an experienced and supportive team, working on a variety of sites to install, maintain, and service air-cooled chillers and associated temporary cooling systems. Your work will include fault-finding, modifications to pipework, and ensuring safe, efficient system performance.

Key Duties Include:

• 
  Installation, servicing, and maintenance of temporary commercial air-cooled chillers
• 
  Diagnosing and resolving faults on chilled water systems and AHUs
• 
  Modifying and adapting existing plant room pipework
• 
  Travelling to client sites (company vehicle provided)
• 
  Supporting and mentoring less experienced engineers
• 
  Ensuring all work meets safety and compliance standards

Key Requirements:

• 
  Strong background in commercial mechanical and cooling systems, including:
  • 
    Chilled water systems
  • 
    Air handling units (AHUs)
  • 
    Pipework installation and modification
  • 
    Control wiring and electrical troubleshooting
• 
  Relevant certifications, including:
  • 
    F-Gas (City & Guilds 2079 or equivalent)
• 
  Full UK driving licence
• 
  Based within reach of Redditch depot
• 
  Willingness to support emergency call-outs and participate in a rota
• 
  Able to pass a DBS check for work on secure client sites
