Role - Intermediate/Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Building Services)
Location - Belfast
Salary - £35k - £55k (DOE)

Overview

We're working with a long-established, multi-disciplinary consultancy boasting over 45 years of industry experience. With a team of 40-50 professionals across MEP, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, and Sustainability (including BREEAM and Building Physics), they foster a collaborative and dynamic work culture. Their MEP division, comprising 15-20 specialists, is expanding and looking for an Intermediate/Senior Electrical Engineer to support a growing project pipeline.

You'll contribute to a variety of high-impact developments including healthcare, urban regeneration, leisure, and student living spaces-supporting legacy clients while playing a key role in new commissions.

Role

As an Intermediate/Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you'll take ownership of key project elements-supporting delivery across sectors such as manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and public health. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you'll be responsible for producing high-quality electrical designs, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring technical excellence on every project.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services (Essential)

• Progress toward CIBSE Chartership (Ideal)

• Proven experience in Building Services engineering design

• Ability to manage workload and assist in running medium-sized projects

• Experience working as an Intermediate/Senior Electrical Design Engineer.

• Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset

• Familiarity with Revit MEP, AutoCAD, DIALux, Amtech, Navisworks (preferred)

• Working knowledge of CIBSE guidelines and UK building standards

• Full right to work in the UK
