The Senior Geotechnical Engineer Role
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you'll be instrumental in managing and delivering geotechnical solutions for residential developments nationwide. The position offers the perfect blend of technical leadership, project management, and field expertise, focusing primarily on slope stability analysis and settlement assessments for residential projects.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum degree in Earth Sciences, with MSc in Geotechnical Engineering preferred
- Minimum 5 years UK experience in ground investigation and geotechnical roles
- Professional experience with slope stability analysis, settlement appraisals, and retaining wall assessments
- Proficiency in geotechnical analysis software (Geo5, Slope/W, or similar)
Technical Skills
- Expert knowledge of ground investigation techniques and site supervision
- Experience with Holebase, AutoCAD, and QGIS software packages
- Strong understanding of soil and rock logging to British Standards
- Knowledge of UK regulatory guidance and geotechnical design codes
