Commercial Gas Engineer - London and Surrounding Areas

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a leading Facilities Services provider, working across London and the surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate will be fully qualified with current commercial gas certificates, experienced in both planned and reactive maintenance, and confident working independently across a range of sites. This role will focus on service, maintenance, and breakdowns rather than installation, with work primarily covering schools and commercial premises, along with larger clients.

Duties:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on commercial heating systems.
• Attend reactive call-outs within required response times.
• Diagnose and repair faults on boilers, plant room equipment, and associated systems.
• Complete all required service reports and compliance documentation accurately.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and clients to ensure high standards of service.
• Participate in the company's call-out rota, providing reactive cover as required.
• Ensure company vehicle, tools, and equipment are maintained in good condition.
• Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Commercial Gas qualifications (COCN1, CODNCO1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1A, etc.).
• Proven experience in commercial gas service, maintenance, and fault finding.
• Experience working within schools or large commercial environments (desirable).
• Full UK driving licence.
• DBS clearance (or ability to obtain due to school contracts).

Salary / Package:

• Basic Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications).
• 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays.
• Door-to-door travel policy.
• Company van & fuel card provided (option for private use).
• Pension scheme & discretionary benefits.
• Standard hours: 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday (1 hour unpaid lunch).
• Participation in a call-out rota with additional payments.
