Are you an experienced Senior Bridge Engineer looking for your next challenge?
We're working with a well-established, North West based independent civil and structural engineering consultancy that has built a strong reputation over 40+ years for delivering innovative and reliable solutions across the highways and rail sectors.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join their growing Liverpool city centre office and play a key role in delivering major bridge design, assessment, and inspection projects across the UK.
As a Senior Bridge Engineer, you'll lead and deliver a variety of bridge and structural schemes from concept through to completion, collaborating with a talented and supportive engineering team.
Senior Bridge Engineer Responsibilities:
- Managing bridge design and assessment projects across highways and rail.
- Reviewing and approving design calculations, drawings, and specifications in line with DMRB and relevant design codes.
- Conducting bridge inspections and structural assessments.
- Liaising directly with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers to help develop the next generation of talent.
Senior Bridge Engineer Requirements:
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Proven experience in bridge design, inspection, and assessment.
- Strong working knowledge of DMRB, MCHW, and other key standards.
- Confidence in preparing structural calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Chartership (CEng) or progress towards it would be an advantage, though not essential.
