Intermediate Mechanical Engineer - Exeter

We are seeking one or more Mechanical Engineers to join a well-established M&E / Building Services design consultancy in either their Exeter or Southampton office. You'll work alongside a close-knit, capable team (25 strong overall: 15 in Exeter) on high profile and technically varied projects.

What the role involves:

• Working in office most days, collaborating with senior engineers and project teams.

• Taking designs and concepts through to detailed mechanical engineering, within multidisciplinary building services (heating, ventilation, plumbing etc.).

• Supporting education frameworks, schools, medical facility projects (including rooms / minor works) and larger bespoke commissions-some projects in the £10-20M+ range.

• Applying best practice around sustainable building services and environmental performance.

Who we're looking for:

• Intermediate to Senior level mechanical engineer with solid design experience in building services.

• Someone with good working knowledge of mechanical infrastructure: not just academic or purely Revit-based, but comfortable with fundamentals and detail.

• Able to pick up real engineering challenges; ready to learn, and collaborate with senior peers who can mentor.

• You should be used to working in project teams delivering across sectors such as education / health / commercial.
