Quantity Surveyor - Fire Protection, Façade & Cladding

Role Overview
A leading specialist contractor is seeking an experienced freelance Quantity Surveyor to support ongoing and upcoming works across fire protection, façade, and cladding packages. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing commercial aspects of multiple projects, ensuring cost efficiency, compliance, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting for specialist packages
• Prepare and manage interim valuations, variations, and final accounts
• Negotiate subcontractor agreements and manage procurement processes
• Ensure compliance with contract terms (JCT/NEC)
• Liaise with site teams, clients, and suppliers to maintain commercial control
• Provide regular cost reports and risk assessments to senior management

Your Experience

• Proven experience in Quantity Surveying within fire protection, cladding, or façade sectors, shopfitting, retail or FM
• Strong understanding of JCT and NEC contract frameworks
• Ability to manage multiple packages across live sites
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
