Role: Senior Geotechnical Engineer

An excellent opportunity has come available for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to help a managing director manage and build a ground engineering office. My client is an independent Geotechnical and Geo-Environmental Consultancy that specialises in delivering foundation solutions for basements and tall buildings.

As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will be expected to help take technical lead on projects, provide innovative and sustainable foundation solutions to clients, develop juniors and get involved in business development/winning work.

Geotechnical analytical and design capabilities include, Interpretive reporting, foundation recommendations/preliminary design, calculations, ground movement, specifications, pile groups, retaining walls and slopes, re-use of foundations, tunnel/structure interaction and basement heave.

Senior Geotechnical Engineering Specification:

  • 1st class degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geology, Environmental Sciences etc;
  • MSc in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or Geoscience ideally.
  • A least 5 years experience delivering Geotechnical / Geo-Environmental Ground Investigations and relative reporting;
  • Proficient at recommending foundations for building structures.
  • UK driving licence
