Calibre Search are representing a long-established Yorkshire Design Consultancy with offices in Leeds and Manchester, recognised for delivering innovative and commercially focused engineering solutions. With a history spanning several decades, the practice has built a strong reputation for combining technical excellence with a personal, down-to-earth approach. Working across multiple sectors including residential, industrial, commercial, education and leisure, they partner with developers, architects, contractors and local authorities to deliver projects that are both elegant and buildable.
As a Structural Engineer, you will be joining a highly skilled and supportive team working on a broad variety of projects, from major new-build developments and high-rise schemes through to sensitive refurbishments, heritage conversions and energy and infrastructure work. You will take responsibility for the design and delivery of structural solutions in steel, concrete, timber and masonry, preparing calculations, drawings and reports while liaising closely with architects, contractors and local authorities to ensure that each project runs efficiently from feasibility through to completion. The role will also give you the opportunity to mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and supporting their professional growth as part of a collaborative, close-knit team.
This Consultancy places great emphasis on sustainability and innovation, with a practical focus on reusing existing structures, reducing embodied carbon and applying modern methods of construction. The company's core values centre on teamwork, professionalism and maintaining a positive work-life balance, ensuring that staff are supported, recognised and encouraged to grow.
You will hold a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and have relevant UK design experience across a range of materials and project types. A sound understanding of design standards and current codes, along with proficiency in structural design and modelling software, will be essential. You should be confident managing your own workload, communicating effectively with clients and colleagues, and working as part of a team that takes pride in delivering high-quality, practical engineering solutions.
In return, you will be offered a competitive salary, a generous holiday allowance, company pension, and flexible working hours. The firm provides structured support toward Chartership, covers professional membership fees and offers regular CPD opportunities, social events and career progression within a friendly, inclusive culture.
This is a role ideally suited to a motivated Structural Engineer who is eager to develop their career within a respected Yorkshire Consultancy known for its technical quality, professional integrity and supportive environment.
