Electrical Design Engineer - Building Services (Intermediate to Senior)

A well-established building services consultancy with a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality design and technical solutions is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team.

With a strong pipeline of projects and a trusted client base - including significant ongoing work with the NHS - this is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer looking to take ownership of projects and progress within a collaborative, close-knit team.

About the Role

You'll work on a range of healthcare refurbishment projects, as well as commercial and mixed-use developments. The role will see you involved from concept through to detailed design, including site coordination and client interaction.

You'll be joining a 10-person team, with support from a Revit specialist and strong technical leadership.

The company is open to both permanent and contract appointments, offering flexibility to suit individual circumstances.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and develop electrical design solutions for healthcare, commercial, and refurbishment projects

• Prepare drawings, schematics, calculations, and specifications to industry standards

• Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, architects, and contractors to deliver coordinated designs

• Attend site meetings, client briefings, and design reviews

• Contribute to maintaining the consultancy's reputation for technical excellence and reliability

What You'll Bring

• Experience as an Electrical Building Services Engineer (intermediate to senior level)

• Background in healthcare or refurbishment projects beneficial

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience advantageous but not essential)

• Strong understanding of electrical building services systems and relevant design codes

• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
