An opportunity has arisen for an accomplished Civil or Structural Technician to take on a senior leadership role within a progressive and highly regarded Consultancy. This position offers the chance to oversee a portfolio of diverse and high-profile projects, mentor an expanding technical team, and contribute directly to the strategic and commercial success of the business.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across the practice, ensuring the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and innovation in all deliverables. You will manage drawing production across multiple concurrent projects, maintain and develop ISO 9001 and ISO 19650 systems, and lead on matters of technical assurance, compliance, and risk management. Acting as a Senior representative of the Consultancy, you will engage confidently with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, helping to secure repeat and new business through excellence in delivery and trusted relationships.
This role requires an individual with strong leadership capabilities, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to balance technical rigour with commercial understanding. You will play an integral part in supporting and mentoring colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and working collaboratively with directors to shape the future direction of the Consultancy.
The position is based in the Barnsley area with hybrid working arrangements, requiring three days in the office and two days working remotely.
