Our client is a small, friendly team of consulting Structural and Civil Engineers who pride themselves on providing a first-class design service to a large and loyal client base. They work with clients of all sizes across various industries. Projects range from domestic to commercial with a contract value up to £10million. They are now on the lookout for an Associate Structural Engineer (Chartered or working towards) to join the practise in a key role within the team.

Working closely with the Directors, you will be responsible for managing projects from initial appointment through to project completion. The role will involve meeting clients to establish their requirements, developing and carrying out Structural and Civil designs, preparing detailed drawings using AutoCAD or Revit, and coordinating with architects, project managers, other consultants and local authorities to ensure successful delivery.

The role will also include the preparation of designs for alterations to existing buildings, undertaking structural inspections and defect investigations, and producing clear, well-written technical reports and remedial proposals as required.

The successful candidate will be confident liaising directly with clients, capable of producing fee proposals, and comfortable taking ownership of their work. In return, you will benefit from the opportunity to broaden your experience, contribute meaningfully to the direction of the practice, and progress towards senior or director-level responsibilities in the future.
