Senior/Principal Revit Technician
Location: South West Area
Salary: Up to around £50k
About the Opportunity
A well-established engineering and sustainability consultancy is seeking a Principal Revit Technician to join its modern Swindon office. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, fully coordinated Revit MEP models while supporting the wider BIM function across the business.
You will be part of a BIM department of around 10 specialists, working under an experienced BIM Partner. The organisation offers strong professional development, a collaborative culture, and a competitive salary package with flexibility for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Revit & BIM Delivery
Produce detailed, fully coordinated Revit models for MEP systems from RIBA Stages 2-4.
Develop complex 3D models aligned with engineering principles.
Generate detailed MEP drawings and documentation to client and project requirements.
Maintain the company's current ISO-accredited BIM standards-focus on quality delivery rather than auditing.
Coordination & Collaboration
Work closely with internal engineers and external design teams to deliver clash-free, accurate multidisciplinary models.
Work as a Senior BIM member while supporting cross-office project delivery as required.
Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to coordinators, digital engineers and technicians.
Quality, Process & Standards
Work to project-specific BEPs and established company BIM procedures.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards, including ISO 19650 and BSRIA BG6.
Use tools such as Navisworks or Solibri for automated clash detection.
Project Sectors
You will support a wide range of projects, including:
Education: £20-40m school projects with long-standing contractor relationships
Commercial: office and mixed-use developments
Industrial: various industrial schemes
Defence: selective specialist projects
Experience & Skills Required
Extensive experience using Autodesk Revit for MEP, with the ability to work autonomously.
Proven experience delivering coordinated Revit models on complex projects.
Strong working knowledge of BIM workflows and processes.
Experience with project-specific BEPs.
Ability to use Navisworks or Solibri for clash detection.
Excellent communication skills and confidence in challenging or reviewing design information.
Strong organisational ability and confidence managing your own workload.
