BIM Manager - Power Grids / Net Zero

Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 (flexible for the right candidate)
An established engineering consultancy within the UK energy and power sector is continuing a period of sustained growth and is looking to appoint an experienced BIM Manager to support major Power Grid and Net Zero infrastructure projects.
Following a 20% team expansion last year, the business is scaling again and has multiple live roles across its energy practice. This BIM position is a key strategic hire and offers genuine scope to influence standards, delivery, and future team growth.
The Role
This is a broad, senior BIM role combining technical oversight, compliance, coordination, and leadership, with some hands-on involvement where required.
Key responsibilities include:
Acting as the UK BIM lead for Power Grid and Transmission & Distribution projects
Overseeing the quality, compliance, and coordination of BIM models and drawings
Managing and coordinating work produced by an established offshore design team
Working closely with electrical engineering teams on transmission and distribution schemes
Leading BIM standards, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives
Contributing to project delivery across FEED and detailed design stages
Opportunity to build and lead a small UK-based BIM team over time
About You
Experienced BIM professional within Power, Utilities, Transmission & Distribution, or high-hazard infrastructure
Strong understanding of BIM compliance, standards, and quality control
Comfortable operating in a standalone / lead BIM role
Able to balance process, coordination, and delivery responsibilities
Experience working with tools such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, BIM 360 / ACC, ProjectWise
Confident engaging with engineers and stakeholders at multiple levels
