  • Provide technical expertise in finite element modelling and numerical analysis using industry-standard software
  • Apply advanced geotechnical analysis tools and workflows to solve complex ground engineering problems
  • Mentor junior geotechnical engineers, supporting their technical development and professional growth
  • Manage projects effectively, ensuring strong client relationships and delivery of high-quality outcomes
  • Support design coordination and contribute to commercial and technical bid proposal reviews
  • Apply CDM Regulations in design and ground investigation environments
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to support effective work winning and project delivery

What We're Looking For

  • Chartered status with the ICE or close to achieving chartered status
  • Degree in civil engineering, ideally supplemented by a postgraduate qualification in a geotechnical subject
  • In-depth experience in finite element modelling and analysis, particularly PLAXIS 2D/3D
  • Extensive practical experience with numerical geotechnical software such as GeoStudio, Repute, Wallap or equivalent tools
  • Proven track record of technical expertise and project management in a fast-moving engineering consultancy environment

  • Extensive geotechnical design experience with proven analytical capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and technical skills with the ability to develop and lead geotechnical design teams
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in liaising with clients
  • Good commercial acumen in negotiating and running successful projects to support right-first-time delivery
  • Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail and ability to self-check work
  • Willingness to travel on short assignments within the UK and overseas
  • Valid UK driving licence
