The Site Manager will take ownership of day-to-day site operations, ensuring all activities are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards. Working closely with project teams, subcontractors and clients, you will play a key role in maintaining strong site leadership while upholding the highest standards of health, safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate daily site operations on substation projects within the NGED framework.
  • Develop and implement Health & Safety Plans, Method Statements and Risk Assessments in line with current SHEQ legislation and company procedures.
  • Supervise, lead and motivate site teams and subcontractors, ensuring work is carried out safely and responsibly.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders, maintaining clear communication throughout project delivery.
  • Lead and contribute to site progress meetings, providing updates on programme, risks and performance.
  • Ensure works are delivered within agreed timeframes, budgets and quality standards.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Promote a culture of health and safety, efficiency and teamwork across all site activities.


Requirements

  • Proven experience working as a Site Manager within substation, utilities, or power infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations within construction and utilities.
  • Experience preparing RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) and managing site compliance.
  • Ability to lead site teams and coordinate subcontractors effectively.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence is required due to travel across the Midlands region.
