Location: National Grid Project Site (UK)
Rate: £400 per day (Contract)
Overview
My client is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer (Civil Setting Out) to join their team on a contract basis supporting works on a National Grid project. This role requires a highly competent engineer with strong surveying and civil engineering experience, capable of supporting site teams and ensuring technical accuracy throughout project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out civil setting out including line and level using a variety of surveying equipment.
- Support the civil site team with constructability reviews and identify potential improvements or issues.
- Raise and manage Technical Queries (TQs) as required.
- Act as Document Controller for all civil drawings and related documentation.
- Assist the civil site team with obtaining quotations and raising purchase orders.
- Produce and maintain accurate as-built drawings.
- Ensure all works comply with National Grid Technical Specifications (NGTS) and project standards.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Civil Setting Out / Resident Engineer.
- Must be able to set out line and level using various surveying equipment.
- National Grid Persons certification (NG Persons) is required.
- Previous experience working on a National Grid site.
- Strong knowledge of National Grid Technical Specifications (NGTS).
- Ability to manage civil documentation and drawings effectively.
Desirable
- Additional experience across multiple National Grid projects.
