Job Title: Project Architect
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Location: Sheffield
A long-established, AJ100 multi-disciplinary practice is looking for a qualified Architect to join its Sheffield studio. The practice brings architects, engineers, masterplanners and interior designers together under one roof, so you'll work in an environment where design is shaped by real technical and commercial insight.
The role
You'll take an active role in a varied portfolio of projects, from early-stage concept and feasibility through to technical design and delivery. Working alongside engineering and interiors colleagues, you'll help deliver complex schemes across residential, retail, commercial, leisure, healthcare, student accommodation and specialist sectors, including stadia.
With the studio growing, there's real scope to take on greater project responsibility, guide and mentor junior colleagues and contribute to the direction of the team. A strong delivery track record matters here, so the right person will be comfortable leading on large, technically demanding buildings and managing the day-to-day running of live projects.
About you
- ARB registered, with solid post-qualification experience in UK practice
- A good understanding of the full project lifecycle, with experience of complex or larger-scale schemes
- Confident working with consultants, clients and contractors
- Proficient in Revit and/or AutoCAD
- Keen to mentor and support less experienced team members
- RIBA membership is desirable, though not essential
What's on offer
- Weekly CPD sessions
- Annual career development reviews
- A regular programme of company-wide social events
- Involvement in a wide-ranging, nationwide workload
- Support for professional development, including mentoring junior staff towards chartership
- A collaborative, learning-focused team culture within a practice with deep experience in its field
