Structural Engineer - Surveys & Inspections

Location: Manchester

We are working with a well-established structural engineering consultancy in Manchester, specialising in building structures, technical inspections and the assessment of existing buildings across the residential, commercial and high-rise sectors.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit Structural Engineers from Graduate+5 years' experience (approaching Chartered status) through to Associate level, with excellent opportunities for career progression.

The role will involve a varied portfolio of inspections, investigations and reporting, including:

• Structural reports and risk assessments for Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs).

• Commercial and residential building condition surveys.

• Structural inspections and reports for insurers following incidents such as retaining wall failures, fire damage, wind loading and vehicle impact.

• Assessing structural defects, identifying risks and recommending appropriate remedial solutions.

About you:

You will have experience in structural engineering, ideally with a background in building inspections, defect diagnosis, condition surveys or structural reporting. Strong technical report-writing skills and the ability to assess existing structures are essential.
