The Package

  • £41,506 annual salary, inclusive of standby payments

  • Travel time paid

  • Overtime opportunities

  • 33 days' holiday

  • Private pension

A Closer Look at the Work

No two maintenance jobs are necessarily the same. One day could involve tracing an electrical fault; another might see you working on catering equipment, investigating a pump issue or sorting out a general building maintenance problem.
The work will involve:

  • Maintaining electrical systems, lighting and associated equipment

  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs

  • Working on bakery and catering machinery

  • Inspecting and maintaining mechanical assets, including fans, pumps and compressors

  • Dealing with water services, minor plumbing and building fabric repairs

  • Providing first-line checks on HVAC, fire alarm and security systems

  • Completing planned maintenance and recording outstanding remedial work

  • Managing your workload to meet site requirements and maintenance deadlines

  • Following relevant safety procedures and ensuring work is properly documented

What You'll Bring

You'll need to be a qualified electrician with the practical ability to work independently across a range of commercial environments.
Essential:

  • Level 3 electrical qualification, such as City & Guilds 2330, 2365 or equivalent

  • AM2 assessment

  • City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition)

  • Previous electrical maintenance experience

  • Full, valid UK driving licence

You'll also need to be comfortable undertaking basic mechanical and general building maintenance, with the ability to work at height when required.
City & Guilds 2391 Testing and Inspection and experience completing electrical certification would be beneficial, but aren't essential.
