Prefer planned maintenance to spending every day on emergency breakdowns?
We're recruiting a Refrigeration PPM Engineer to maintain commercial refrigeration equipment across retail sites in Liverpool and the surrounding areas.
The role is primarily focused on planned preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing and statutory compliance, with reactive repairs also forming part of the workload. You'll work across an established portfolio of customer sites, carrying out scheduled maintenance, identifying potential faults and helping prevent equipment failures before they disrupt operations.
With a £44,736 basic salary, company van, paid travel and overtime available, this role would suit an experienced commercial refrigeration engineer looking for a maintenance-focused position within facilities management.
The Role
As a mobile Refrigeration PPM Engineer, you'll travel between retail sites across your allocated area, completing scheduled maintenance on commercial refrigeration systems.
You'll inspect equipment, assess its condition, identify worn or failing components and carry out servicing in line with maintenance schedules and compliance requirements. Where remedial work is needed, you'll record your findings and recommend the appropriate repairs or replacement.
Although you'll be expected to support reactive breakdowns when required, the main priority is delivering planned maintenance and keeping refrigeration equipment safe, compliant and operational.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance on commercial refrigeration systems across retail sites.
Complete scheduled servicing, inspections and statutory compliance checks.
Inspect refrigeration equipment and identify signs of wear, deterioration or potential failure.
Diagnose faults identified during maintenance visits, including electrical and refrigeration-related issues.
Replace faulty components and carry out remedial repairs where required.
Identify equipment that requires further repair or replacement and report your recommendations.
Complete service reports, maintenance records and compliance documentation accurately.
Liaise with customer site teams to discuss equipment condition and any remedial work required.
Attend reactive refrigeration breakdowns when necessary.
Follow current Health and Safety requirements, refrigeration regulations and safe working procedures.

Good organisational skills and the ability to manage a planned schedule across multiple sites.
