* Carrying out validation sampling and ensuring appropriate records are maintained.
* Monitoring site activities to ensure works are completed in accordance with remediation specifications.
* Overseeing excavation, soil treatment, segregation and disposal activities.
* Identifying and reporting environmental issues and ensuring appropriate control measures are implemented.
* Monitoring site progress against project programmes and specifications.
* Liaising with project managers, environmental consultants, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
* Maintaining accurate site records, monitoring data and environmental reports.
* Supporting projects through to validation and final completion.
About You
* A minimum of 2 years' experience within remediation, contaminated land or environmental contracting.
* Experience or understanding of delivering remediation strategies.
* Knowledge of environmental monitoring and validation sampling.
* Experience of air quality and dust monitoring.
* An understanding of contaminated land and brownfield regeneration.
* Experience working on former gasworks, landfill or other complex contaminated sites would be advantageous.
* Knowledge of environmental legislation, waste management and site compliance.
* Ability to interpret site investigation reports, remediation strategies and technical specifications.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* A practical, hands-on approach to site delivery.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South East.
Desirable
* A qualification in Environmental Science, Geology, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
* Experience of soil remediation, groundwater treatment or soil stabilisation.
* Knowledge of CL guidance, waste classification and environmental permitting.
* WAMITAB qualification.
* Experience using environmental and air quality monitoring equipment.
The Opportunity
An opportunity to join an established specialist contractor working on a growing portfolio of brownfield regeneration and remediation projects across the South East.
Projects will include former gasworks, landfill sites and urban regeneration schemes, offering exposure to a variety of technically challenging remediation works.
The position would suit someone looking to develop their experience within the remediation sector, with opportunities to work on complex contaminated land projects.
