I am currently partnering with a well-established engineering firm in Louisville that is looking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to support technical delivery, regional growth and team development across Kentucky and the surrounding states.
This opportunity suits a commercially aware engineer who enjoys balancing hands-on project work with business development and leadership responsibility. You would join the senior leadership group and help drive both project execution and office expansion.
Senior Geotechnical Engineer Responsibilities
- Lead projects from proposal development through final delivery
- Oversee subsurface investigations and field operations
- Interpret laboratory and in situ testing data
- Prepare and review detailed geotechnical engineering reports
- Perform design and analysis of shallow and deep foundations
- Evaluate bearing capacity and settlement
- Design retaining systems, anchors, slopes and earthworks
- Support client relationship management and contract negotiation
- Contribute to business development and revenue growth
- Mentor and guide junior engineering staff
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geological or Mining Engineering, or Geology
- Ten or more years of geotechnical engineering experience
- Strong technical writing and reporting skills
- Demonstrated expertise in foundation and slope design
- Experience supporting client accounts and contributing to project growth
- A Professional Engineer license is advantageous but not required
