Senior Geotechnical Engineer

I am currently representing an established engineering consultancy in Tampa seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, PE, to support technical leadership and continued growth across the Gulf Coast region.

This position requires a commercially aware engineer who can lead projects, provide signing authority and contribute to strategic expansion. You will work closely with leadership to strengthen client relationships while delivering technically complex projects.

Senior Geotechnical Engineer Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical projects from proposal development through final reporting.

• Plan and oversee subsurface investigations and field programs

• Interpret laboratory and in situ testing data

• Prepare and review comprehensive geotechnical reports

• Perform analysis and design of shallow and deep foundations

• Evaluate bearing capacity, settlement and slope stability

• Support retaining structures and earthwork design

• Assist with client relationship management and business development initiatives.s

• Mentor junior engineers and support team progression

Qualifications Bachelor's: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geological or related engineering discipline
• Eight or more years of geotechnical engineering experience
• Strong analytical and technical reporting skills
• Demonstrated expertise in foundation and slope design
• Professional Engineer license preferred, but not mandatory.
