Supermarket Refrigeration Engineer – Surrey
We’re recruiting for a Refrigeration Engineer to support a major supermarket maintenance contract across Surrey. This is a mobile role covering a defined regional patch, delivering planned and reactive refrigeration maintenance across store environments within a structured engineering service model.
Training is available for engineers looking to strengthen their experience with CO₂ pack systems, making this a strong opportunity to develop within supermarket refrigeration.
The role
You’ll support refrigeration maintenance across multiple retail stores, ensuring systems remain compliant, efficient and operational.
Responsibilities include:
- Planned preventative maintenance across refrigeration systems
- Reactive service and fault diagnosis
- Supporting CO₂ pack environments (training available if required)
- Minor installation and system modification work
- Participation in a structured 1 in 4 standby rota
- Attending scheduled maintenance visits and reactive store calls
You’ll be supported by a dedicated planning and technical support team, helping ensure efficient routing and realistic workloads.

Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 Refrigeration (or equivalent)
- F-Gas Category 1
- Full UK driving licence
Supermarket refrigeration experience is beneficial but not essential.
