Senior Quantity Surveyor - Heavy Civils

We're currently working in partnership with a highly respected Civil Engineering Contractor to source an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of major heavy civils schemes across the Cambridge region.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a QS who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is looking to take on complex, high-value infrastructure projects. You'll be joining a business that's well-regarded for its commitment to quality, safety, and long-term career development.

What We're Looking For:
We're keen to speak with Quantity Surveyors who can bring a practical, solutions-focused approach to commercial management. You'll need to have:

• Proven experience in heavy civil engineering projects
• Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
• Excellent numeracy and IT skills
• The confidence to manage financial and contractual aspects across a range of project stages
• The ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively at all levels

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of plans, contracts, budgets, and bills of quantities
• Identifying and managing project risks
• Ongoing cost analysis and dispute resolution support
• Feasibility studies and estimate preparation
• Mentoring and support of Junior Staff
• Analysis and negotiation of subcontractor quotations
• Management of variations, valuations, and final accounts
• Certifying payments for subcontractors
• Ensuring compliance with company procedures and HSEQ standards
