We're working with a small, well-established structural engineering consultancy based in Leigh, who are looking to bring a Senior Structural Technician into their growing team.

This is a great opportunity for a Technician with at least 5 years' experience who's confident producing drawings for a range of building structures and wants to take on more responsibility in a smaller, close-knit firm.

The consultancy works across a healthy mix of commercial, industrial and residential projects - from new-build warehouses and office fit-outs, to housing developments and structural refurbishments. You'll be producing technical drawings primarily in AutoCAD, working closely with the engineers to support delivery across multiple live projects.

Unlike large, corporate environments, this is a small team where your input genuinely matters. There's no red tape, no endless chain of sign-offs - just the chance to get stuck in, work across a varied portfolio, and be trusted to get on with things.

• Preparing and amending general arrangement and detailed structural drawings in AutoCAD
• Supporting structural engineers on projects across residential, commercial and industrial sectors
• Liaising with clients, architects, and other consultants as needed to clarify design requirements
• Coordinating drawing packages and helping manage document control
• Attending occasional site visits or design meetings when required (mostly local to the North West)
• Helping guide junior staff or apprentices, depending on your experience and interest

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a structural technician role
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD (Revit is a bonus, but not essential)
• Good understanding of structural detailing practices for concrete, steel, timber and masonry
• Comfortable working across multiple projects at various stages
• Someone who's organised, detail-focused and confident working independently
• Ideally based within commutable distance to Leigh - flexible working is available, but this is very much an office-based team

• £38,000 - £45,000 salary depending on experience
• Flexibility around start/finish times and hybrid working (1-2 days from home available)
