Description

My Client is a leading multidisciplinary consultancy who are recruiting for a Geotechnical Engineer in Newcastle, they provide a comprehensive and diverse set of professional services to a broad client base. With a unique mix of practical skills, knowledge and experience we work closely with our clients, which range from developers, building owners, local authorities, asset managers, investors and mine owners and mine investors.

 

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

  • Degree in relevant subject
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working in a consultancy
  • A sound understanding of Soil Mechanics
  • Ability to design embedded retaining walls, pad and piled foundations
  • Proficient in the use of spreadsheets and FREW, ALP, PILE, SLOPE and PDisp or similar
  • The ability to deliver desk study and interpretative reports to HA standards
  • The ability to guide technicians and graduates to produce designs and reports to budget
