A successful design consultancy is in need of a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to work within a busy design office near Bury. The company is looking to recruit someone off the back of a number of successes throughout the Pandemic and having maintained a strong core within the business throughout the last two years. The company has a fantastic reputation for supporting and training staff and a number of prominent names in the industry will have begun their journeys in engineering with this company, so it is expected that you share the giving back mentality and, in the future, will be keen to help nurture future stars too and they look to start or continue the early stages of their career.

The current workload consists of multiple Commercial and Public (Education and Healthcare) projects and any experience in Building Services on these schemes would be an advantage. The company is expecting to be very busy moving forward in 2021 so you will be expected to hit the ground running. The Bury based business has a fantastic reputation in the Office Fit Out sector and one of the owners is particularly strong in this area, thus, the business regularly provides Project Management services right the way through to completion on projects which is unusual in the Engineering Consultancy sector. If you have Commercial or fit out experience, that would not go unnoticed in this business.

This Bury role is a hands on Senior Mechanical Design Engineer post, with the slight twist that we are also looking for someone who is either willing or capable in Building Physics Engineering. This company uses a lot of IES in there day to day work and the requirement for expertise in this area is becoming more and more apparent to them. If you come with this skillset already that is great, if not they would be looking to get you trained quickly. They do have one employee who looks at Building Physics exclusively so there is plenty of support available.
