My client are a Temporary Works specialist who have more than 60 years of industry experience. They work with a mixture of Consulting Engineers, Main Contractors and small building companies on projects ranging from emergency response solutions up to complex bespoke projects. Due to an ever increasing workbook, their Glasgow office are looking to add Hydraulic Technician to Inspect, test and install Excavator Mounted Vibrating hammers to clients' equipment

The equipment used is EMV (Excavator Mounted Vibrating) Hammers, Forklift trucks, hydraulic testing equipment, small electrical tools, welding equipment, power wash machinery.

You will be required to ensure all hammers are maintained and in perfect working order before they are delivered to site and correctly fit Excavator Mounted Vibrating (EMV) hammers to excavator's to enable trench sheets to be driven into / extracted from ground.

Complying with Health and Safety requirements to ensure loading, unloading and moving stock is carried out in a safe and secure environment, you will drive or use work equipment to enable daily routines to be completed within timescales and ensure all stock is painted and maintained in line with the standards set out in the Stock ID Manual.

It is essential that you have an FLT license, have a minimum of 6 months experience of working within a groundworks environment and be able to use EMV hammers. You will have at least 12 months Hydraulic testing experience and be competent in the use of hydraulic testing equipment, small electrical tools, welding equipment, power wash machinery.

It is desirable but not essential that you have a CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card or CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) and have worked in a Plant Hire environment. Other desirable skills include the use of overhead cranes, machines and drills, the Quick Hitch Attachment Bracket Visual Examination Certificate and Chain, Wire and Textile Sling Inspection & Shackle and Lifting Clamp Inspection Certificate

There may be occasions where you are expected to work overnight and away from home so a full UK Drivers License is essential. A company vehicle will also be provided.
