Quantity Surveyor - Civil Engineering
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 (DOE) + Package
A leading civile engineering contractor in Sheffield is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support continued growth across their national project portfolio.
This is a great opportunity to join a specialist team delivering ground investigation, remediation, and geotechnical services for a wide range of infrastructure, construction, and energy clients. You'll play a key role in the commercial management of complex ground engineering projects from inception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:- Commercial management of geotechnical and ground investigation contracts (NEC3/NEC4).
- Preparing and reviewing tender documentation and contract variations.
- Monitoring project costs and budgets, ensuring profitability and value for money.
- Managing subcontracts and liaising with site teams and clients.
- Supporting bid teams with cost planning and risk assessments.
About You:
- Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within civils or geotechnical environments.
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a technical delivery team.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar.
