Job Title: Chartered / Senior Building Surveyor
Location: London (City Office)
Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent | Hybrid Working Available
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading independent property consultancy for a Chartered Building Surveyor or Senior Building Surveyor to join their London office.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with commercial property experience to work with major clients across office, retail, and industrial sectors. The role offers hybrid working, career progression, and a varied workload within a supportive and well-established team.
Key Responsibilities of a Senior Building Surveyor:
As a Building Surveyor, your duties will include:- Contract administration and project management
- Technical due diligence and acquisition survey
- Dilapidations (acting for both landlord and tenant)
- Building pathology, defect diagnosis and reporting
- Preparation of building survey reports and technical documentation
- Client liaison and business development support
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:- MRICS qualified (Chartered Building Surveyor) - essential
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a commercial surveying role
- Strong technical knowledge of construction, defects, and building contracts
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- Experience managing client relationships
- Ability to manage projects independently
- Full UK driving licence
